BR 2-15: HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE Wild Wind

They sniffed the fresh air. (p: 39)

This story has Henry, Henry’s big dog Mudge, Henry’s parents. One hot summer day, Henry and Mudge were playing outside. Suddenly the wind blew so hard that it blew Henry’s hat away. The sky turned very dark. Henry’s mother turned on the lights, and Henry’s father shut all the windows. Henry and Mudge sat on the couch, waiting. For the rest of the storm, Henry sat at the kitchen table with his parents. Then the sky cleared. And, like it was a painting, a great, giant rainbow rose up and spread its beautiful colors right above their heads.
